Proxima De Sensi. The bass that turns heads.
Crafted for and with jazz bassist Tonino De Sensi: a semi-acoustic with an unmistakable voice, featuring a bass clef-shaped sound hole as a distinctive mark — and dual souls, piezo and magnetic, blended directly at the bridge.
Two souls, one bass clef.
There is a moment, on stage, when the audience stops listening and begins to watch. De Sensi was born for that moment.
The construction
Chambered korina body, ziricote top, maple neck, and ebony fretboard: a tonewood combination chosen to give acoustic body to an electric instrument, without losing definition.
Electronics
A passive piezo and a Jacaranda magnetic pickup, mixed with the blend control directly on the bridge: from the woody, acoustic voice of the piezo to the electric punch of the magnetic, and all the shades in between—two instruments in one.
Born with a musician
The De Sensi is the Jacaranda method taken to its logical extreme: an instrument designed for and with the person playing it, from the initial conversation to the final set-up. Highly admired from day one — and available, like every Jacaranda, tailored specifically to you.
«The versatility of this bass allows me to excellently cover both electric and acoustic jazz.»
